BioinfoRes is actively involved in research in the field of protein structure biology, immunoinformatics, human diseases, microbiology, metagenomics, enzyme engineering etc. We also provide opportunities to all of our trainees to join us in our research works and their scientific contribution is duly acknowledged .  We also do contract research for Industry and Academia.

Introductory Bioinformatics

This module includes introduction to  NCBI databases, UCSC genome browser, Protein Data Bank, EMBL, Uniprot, Draft Genomes, FTPs and commands to download the genome assemblies, introduction to linux, terminal, installation of software packages and designing workflows.

Whole Exome Sequence Analysis

This module includes training on exome sequence analysis, it is also known as whole exome sequencing (WES). It is a genomic technique for sequencing all of the protein-coding region of genes in a genome (known as the exome). Humans have about 180,000 exons and their study can help find the genetic causes of disease.

RNA Seq Analysis

RNA-Seq, also called whole transcriptome shotgun sequencing (WTSS), used to analyze the continuously changing cellular transcriptome. It has ability to look at alternative gene spliced transcripts, differential expression of genes, post-transcriptional modifications and identification of novel variations and genes.

Metagenomics

This module includes Metagenomics NGS training. Helps in study of organisms in a microbial community based on analyzing the DNA within an environmental sample. Metagenomic NGS is now widely used for various microbiome and microbial diversity analyses.

Molecular Dynamics Simulations

This module includes  training of  molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. It is used for studying the physical movements of atoms and molecules in protein structure. The atoms and molecules are allowed to interact for a fixed period of time giving a view of the dynamic evolution of the system. MD simulations are ery important to undertand the protein  functions at atomistic details and especially for drug discovery, functional mutagenesis and protein engineering

Research Writing

In this module the trainees are trained for effective research article writing, check plagrism, making high resolution scientific images, plots and reference management. We also guide students on choosing the right research journals for publication of their work.
